About The Project
The Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) Resetting education and training for the digital age outlines the European Commission’s vision for high-quality, inclusive and accessible digital education in Europe. One of its strategic priority is enhancing digital skills & competences for the digital transformation which includes digital & media literacy. Parents have a crucial role to educate their children in early digital skills & behaviours.They need to be trained to understand the importance of protecting and empowering children in the online space and to creating safe and contribute to secure and trusted online environment as defined by the EU Digital Target 2030 strategy.
Objectives
Objective 2
To empower adult educators and trainers with the expertise required to educate parents effectively in the realms of digital and media literacy, competences by developing learning resources and innovative tools using non-formal education.
Objective 1
To empower parents with Media Literacy knowledge and tools to foster critical thinking skills in their children when interacting with digital media : analyzing online content, recognizing biases, identifying misinformation, and making informed decisions in the digital environment. By combining critical thinking with media literacy, parents can better prepare their children to navigate the digital world responsibly and discerningly.
Target Groups
The target groups are adult educators -adult education centers NGOs working with / for adults.
The second target group are parents ( adult learners ).
For both activites we will also send invitations to local authorities.
The beneficiries are the parents and their children also as the family learning toolkit intoduced and the parents will learn about how to learn about digital and media literacy within their families.
And the adult educators whom would be interested in learning about the family learning approach and also the 2 results of the project which can be transfered to different topics
